I have always wanted to get a tattoo, but I just never got serious about going out and getting it done. It wasn’t until a good friend of mine got his, a cool Polynesian design on his right shoulder, that I started to think I should go ahead and get mine.

Since I have a Hawaiian heritage, I decided I wanted a Hawaiian tattoo that symbolized my family history. That’s when I started my search of tattoo designs and it didn’t take long to realize that it was going to be difficult to find just what I was looking for.

When I went to the local tattoo shop, all of the tattoo designs they had were for the typical butterfly tattoo or angel tattoos. Although there was a Celtic tattoo cross that I really liked, I really wanted the look of a tribal armband tattoo. I decided to take my search online.
